Parents need to know
Age 10+Language, nudity, drinking in animation.
Parents need to know that Bob's Burgers S8 E16, "Are You There Bob? It's Me, Birthday", is a animation episode. The series is known for oddball family restaurant comedy. Plenty of bathroom humor, sexual innuendo, and absurd premises (nude beaches, burlesque clubs as B-plots). The kids are precocious and the humor skews adult, but violence is cartoon-mild and language is mostly clean. Best for families OK with weird, irreverent humor. Sits in the gray area mainly on swearing (moderate, in dialogue). Sexual content is mild but includes Your boobs? I know what we need to do. Language isn't constant, but you can expect swearing — for example, Son of a bitch! Why didn't somebody stop me? Just kidding, I'm just kidding. Characters drink or talk about alcohol and drugs — I might have an alcoholic drink tonight, an alcoholic wine. Every flagged moment below is a direct quote from the transcript or a short description of what happens on screen.
